In partnership with the New York Jobs CEO Council, Citi is looking for students interested in our Human Resources Apprenticeship Program for Spring 2024. This exciting 16-week paid program will give students access to various creative and diverse work on the Workforce Intelligence & Talent Acquisition (WITA) Team.

Apprentices will have the opportunity to support one of the following teams within the WITA organization:

People Analytics & Insights Team

The People Analytics & Insights team solves business problems with workforce and business data. They conduct analyses and use behavioral science to provide actionable insights and enable evidence-based decision making. Actionable insights lead to best decisions about people – individuals, teams, and organizations – to drive business performance.

Workforce Management Team

The Workforce Management team is responsible for leading Citi’s transformation efforts around staffing and skill adequacy and organization design. This team analyzes, forecasts, organizes and plans for the future of the workforce. They are a global team with highly motivated colleagues who are focused on ensuring Citi has the right number of people, with the right skills, at the right place, time & cost and in the right organizational structure.

Strategy & Solutions Team

The Strategy & Solutions Delivery team is responsible for the management and execution of centralized initiatives. These initiatives typically revolve around our overall People, Process, and Technology strategy in support of the WITA and HR functions, as well as Citi-wide. Within Strategy & Solutions Delivery, there are teams that are focused on a wide range of activities, including but not limited to strategic planning, project management, process & change management, and technology implementations. They are a solutions-focused and collaborative team that is focused on optimizing the various business processes within WITA in order for the department to function at its best for Citi.

Early Career Talent Acquisition & Program Management Team

We are seeking students that have:

  • Strong presentation and communication skills

  • Strong analytical, problem solving and project management skills

  • Effective verbal/written communication abilities and interpersonal skills, strong attention to detail

  • Comfortable with data analysis and reporting

  • Strong relationship and client management skillset

  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to execute quickly and efficiently

  • Must have ability to multi-task, think proactively, prioritize tasks and be solutions-oriented

  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

  • Intellectual curiosity and desire to learn

  • Positive outlook with a can-do mindset

  • Highly effective time-management and organization skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PPT, Teams Outlook)

  • Project management experience a plus

  • Knowledge and/or prior experience supporting a Human Resources function a plus

In order to participate in this program, you must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Current enrolled in one of the following degree programs: Bronx Community College – A.A.S. in Accounting or Marketing, Borough of Manhattan Community College – A.A.S. in Accounting or Business Management

  • Minimum GPA of 2.5

  • Complete at least 45 credits by the end of Fall 2023

  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. and will not require sponsorship now or in the future

Hourly Pay: $30.00 per hour
